How You Can Help
You have the ability to help us change lives!
Please join our SASHA Family in empowering people with mental illness to live healthy and independent lives as valuable, contributing members of our community.
There are three ways that you can help:
1. Volunteer
We accept volunteers through practicum placements. We partner with the University of Lethbridge, Lethbridge College, Reeves College, and the University of Calgary to connect students to great practicum experiences. You could empower SASHA clients through helping with meal preparation, organizing meaningful daily activity, or spending time with individuals over a cup of coffee.
If leadership and governance is your thing, we are always searching for dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors.
2. Donate or Host a Fundraiser
Donate Funds:
We gladly accept all donations to support SASHA programs. No amount is too small or unappreciated! Donors can state where they want their donation to go, or ask SASHA to use it where it is needed the most.
In addition to funding current SASHA programs, we are looking for donors to support more SASHA housing. The need in our community is great and too many people who need SASHA's help are on wait lists because we are out of space for them to live with us. We are thankful for donors who want to contribute funds to help us operate more homes.
Donate Items:
Donations do not have to be only in dollars! Donations of gently used items make an incredible difference to SASHA clients. Call us to inquire about our current needs.
Host a Fundraiser:
Fundraisers can be a fantastic way to support SASHA's work! If you have an idea for a SASHA fundraiser among friends, family or at your workplace, please contact us!
Please note: Donors who would like to remain anonymous can do so.
3. Join our Staff Team
